BlackRock is preparing to launch two tokenized money-market funds for investors who keep cash in stablecoins rather than traditional bank accounts.
The asset manager filed paperwork for a digital share class tied to its $6.1 billion BlackRock Select Treasury Based Liquidity Fund, which invests in cash, US Treasury bills, notes, and other short-term securities with maturities of 93 days or less.
The tokenized shares are expected to run on the Ethereum blockchain alongside the fund's existing share classes.
The filing shows how major financial firms are moving closer to the stablecoin economy as blockchain-based markets continue to expand.

Dear crypto holder, this is one of the most important macro signals of the cycle.
The Russell 2000 just broke into price discovery.
For decades, this tracks the PMI business cycle with insane accuracy.
Similar moves have happened in:
1991
2003
2010
2016
2020
And the last two times this happened (2016 and 2020) crypto was preparing its own bull market move, and getting ready to follow Russell 2000.
This is not a guarantee, but with falling inflation, and dovish FED chair inbound, at least consider the possibilities.

That's +26% up YoY, beating analyst estimates of $29B, even as Saudi oil output COLLAPSED 30% from 10.4M bpd to 7.25M bpd.

BREAKING: US govt says NO quarantine required for 17 Americans on hantavirus-stricken cruise.
As of Saturday, a CDC official said, We are not quarantining anybody, confirming that none of the 17 American passengers has tested positive for hantavirus.
The MV Hondius has now arrived, Sunday at 5:30 a.m. local time, at the port of Granadilla de Abona, where officials began a rapid evacuation of 149 passengers and crew.
When asked whether passengers would be tested, the official said it is not recommended to test people that do not have symptoms.

JUST IN: The U.S. is mobilizing an emergency evacuation of Americans aboard a hantavirus-hit cruise ship.
17 American passengers will be flown on a U.S. medical repatriation flight and will be quarantined at the National Quarantine Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

DEVELOPING: A norovirus outbreak, different from the hantavirus, has sickened 115 people on the Caribbean Princess cruise this week.
The CDC says 102 of 3,116 passengers (3.3%) and 13 of 1,131 crew members (1.2%) reported symptoms, mainly diarrhea and vomiting.
This exceeds the CDCs 3% threshold used to define an outbreak.
Princess Cruises says it has disinfected the ship and will carry out a full clean before its next voyage.
