Bitcoin worked exactly as designed. BIP-110 was free to fork, and the network was free not to follow. The result was decisive: about 99.85% of Bitcoin's hashpower stayed with Bitcoin. The BIP-110 branch mined only two blocks and is already more than 80 blocks behind.

At ~0.15% of Bitcoin's hashpower, BIP-110 must mine 2,015 more blocks before its first difficulty adjustment. At today's rate, that is ~25 years. Anyone can fork Bitcoin. Without security, utility, capital, and users, a fork is irrelevant. Consensus is earned, not declared.

With only 2.6% miner signaling, BIP-110 has failed to earn broad miner support. At block 961,632, its nodes will reject non-signaling blocks. BIP-110 will then stall or fork into irrelevance while Bitcoin continues normally. Bitcoin is working as designed.

Dear crypto holder, this is one of the most important macro signals of the cycle.
The Russell 2000 just broke into price discovery.
For decades, this tracks the PMI business cycle with insane accuracy.
Similar moves have happened in:

2010
2016
2020
And the last two times this happened (2016 and 2020) crypto was preparing its own bull market move, and getting ready to follow Russell 2000.

JUST IN: Japan officially creates a dedicated crypto and stablecoin division under the FSA.
The Financial Services Agency upgraded crypto oversight from an office-level setup to a standalone division with three sub-units for exchange monitoring, innovation, and digital payments.
This follows Japan's FIEA reform that reclassified , , and 103 other tokens as financial instruments.

BREAKING: Bitcoin's BIP-110 soft fork OFFICIALLY FAILS after mining just two blocks.
The minority chain split off at block 961,632 with just 2.53% miner support.
It stalled behind the main chain almost immediately.
The fork inherited Bitcoin's full 127.48 TRILLION mining difficulty with almost none of the computing power.
Its next difficulty adjustment is 350 days away, per CoinDesk.
What is BIP-110?
- A proposal to restrict non-financial data on Bitcoin for one year, including images, text, and Ordinals-style inscriptions.
- Supporters led by Bitcoin Knots creator Luke Dashjr argue these transactions clog the network and drive up fees.
- Michael Saylor said BIP-110 will "stall or fork into irrelevance while Bitcoin continues normally."
- Fork supporters are already discussing switching to a new proof-of-work algorithm, which would make it a new coin entirely.
It needed 55% miner support to activate but only got 2.53%.
